Judith Beck, Ph.D., is director of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in suburban Philadephia, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. Her most recent book is Cognitive Therapy: Basics and Beyond (Guilford, 1995). She is currently at work on an advanced book on cognitive therapy for patients with difficult problems. Dr. Beck divides her time among administration, teaching and supervision, clinical work, research, and writing.
